DAY 2 - Day 3 : Masai Mara
Before sunrise you can have a cup of coffee, tea or cocoa and then go on a game drive through the legendary national reserve. Practically all animals native to East Africa are represented here. Hippos and crocodiles can be observed and photographed in the water. You come back to a hearty breakfast. When the animals hide from the heat in the shady bushes, a siesta is also announced in the camp. After lunch at the camp of your choice, take a break to experience another exciting game drive until nightfall.

The Matira Camp with German-speaking management is open all year round. It is situated under shady trees on a small river. Enjoy the tranquility of nature away from mass tourism. After an exciting game drive, shaded areas invite you to linger and exchange ideas. As night falls, sit around the campfire and listen to Maasai stories and the voices of the African night. Matira Main Camp offers full board with international cuisine and a local twist, freshly prepared and served in the dining tent or under the shady trees al fresco.

DAY 4: Flight Masai Mara to the coast or to Nairobi
Enjoy the incomparable atmosphere of the morning savannah with the passing herds of animals during the last early morning game drive. You'll be back in time for breakfast. Check out from the camp is scheduled for late morning or after lunch, depending on departure. On the way to the airstrip you will experience one last game drive and fly back to Mombasa/Ukunda, where we will be waiting for you. After landing, we will bring you back to your hotel.

Tip
You should plan at least 3 days for your stay in order to be able to experience the variety of animals. Since the Masai Mara is very high, it can get chilly in the evenings and during the early morning game drive. Therefore, take long trousers, a sweater and possibly a rain jacket with you in your luggage. Huge herds of wildebeest and zebra roam the Masai Mara from July to October. It is a true natural spectacle when the herds cross the Mara River where the crocodiles are waiting for food.
